National Community Service Day

Outstanding Colorado Member Participation!

On Saturday, October 7th, family, friends and members of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Colorado Chapter, observed National Community Service Day by helping Craig Hospital's Therapeutic Recreation Team host a barbeque and bike event for its patients. The 'Fall Fiesta' occurred on the grounds of Craig Hospital, located in Englewood, Colorado. Craig Hospital is exclusively dedicated to the specialty rehabilitation and research for patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Craig has treated more than 25,000 patients since 1956 - more spinal cord injury patients than any other single facility in the world.

Volunteers from ACC cooked, coordinated planned events (including karaoke and trivia contests), took part in bike rides and an obstacle course, and chatted with patients and their families. In addition, the Colorado Chapter presented Craig with a donation for equipment and other necessities. Approximately 20 ACC volunteers and 75 patients and family members participated in the afternoon event. Outstanding! Thank you all very much for your contributions.
