ACC Colorado Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Teaser here

In 1982, The American Corporate Counsel was formed to meet the needs of in-house attorneys.  Later that same year, the Colorado Chapter was born, and holds the distinction of being the oldest chapter in the world!  On October 24th, members of ACC and their distinquished guests celebrated both of these historic events.

The party, attended by over fifty Chapter members and guests, was held in the Tuscan-style Wine Cellar at the University of Denver School of Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Management.  Those in attendance participated in a champagne toast honoring of the Chapter’s silver anniversary and several members and guests took part in a fast-paced Texas Hold’em Tournament.  In his remarks to members and guests, Chapter President Shawn Cheadle discussed the Chapter's honorable history of being the first chapter formed under the national banner of the Association of Corporate Counsel, which now has grown to 48 chapters with over 22,000 members in more than 74 countries.

Several former officers and directors in attendance, including the Chapter’s first President, Nick Muller, were recognized for their efforts and contributions to the growth of the Chapter.  This memorable event was made possible in part by the Chapter’s Platinum Sponsors:  Hogan & Hartson, Holland & Hart, Townsend Townsend & Crew, and Ballard Spahr.
