ACC Focus on the New Jersey Chapter - 05/11/2010 (Plain Text Version)NJCCA President's Message
by Valerie Camara To the Membership, It's May, so it must be time for NJCCA's Annual Spring Cocktail Reception! With the advent of Mandatory CLE in New Jersey, we are adding a 2-hour CLE component to our Spring Cocktail Reception and Annual Dinner Meeting. I hope to be able to catch up with many of you at our upcoming events, the Spring Reception is this week and our 5th Annual Golf Classic is scheduled for June 14th at the Knoll West (Upper Knoll) Country Club in Parsippany. NJCCA's Career Management and Transition, Women's Networking and Small Law Department Committees hosted a very successful networking event at the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge with about fifty members in attendance. A special thanks to the planning committee that worked hard to make this a very nice evening. NJCCA has submitted its application to the New Jersey Board of Continuing Legal Education to become an approved provider of continuing legal education and we hope to have good news to report soon! Additionally, we are getting organized to host for the third year running our Build-A-Backpack Event hold August 19th for our backpack assembly night! We will be working with McKinley Elementary School in Newark. The details about this fun community service event will be available in June. Our Eighth Annual NJCCA Full Day Conference planning committee is hard at work on the plans to host about 26 programs on five tracks. When the agenda for the conference is finalized Gail will circulate it to the membership. The conference is scheduled for September 24th at the Dolce in Basking Ridge. Cheers until next month!
